Why does cashmere yarn pill? How to wash and maintain cashmere yarn?

There are many factors that cause cashmere yarn to pill:

1. Raw material factors: The higher the quality of wool raw materials, the better the fineness, the denser the surface scales, the better the curl, the softer the feel, but it is easy to entangle and pill.

2. Different fabric structures (plain needle, ingot, double ingot, etc.) and different densities (loose, tight) will also produce different degrees of pilling. The National Bureau of Technical Supervision tests pilling according to different yarn specifications (counts) and weaves them into specified specifications and densities. The samples of the organizational structure are placed in the pilling box for testing within the specified time, and then the grade is evaluated.

3. When wearing, contact with different objects (smooth, rough) will also produce different degrees of pilling. Sleeves, pockets and other parts are often rubbed and pilling is also easy.

4. From the perspective of technology: if the twist is loose, the wool yarn is rounder and fatter, and the strips are fuller, but it is easier to pilling. On the contrary, if the twist is tight, the wool yarn will lose its style and be like a rope. Therefore, during the initial wearing of the sweater, the pilling phenomenon is slightly more obvious. You can use small scissors to trim it, and it will not occur again. This phenomenon will gradually disappear.

Question 1: How to maintain cashmere yarn?

1. Cashmere yarn is a warm and fluffy product with a loose structure. Therefore, it should be avoided from friction with rough objects during knitting and wearing to avoid causing the hair to pill and affect the appearance. This is true even for wool yarn marked with "anti-pilling".

2. Light-colored wool yarn has bright colors. During knitting and wearing, it should be avoided from contact with unclean objects to avoid contamination and affect the appearance. Therefore, consumers are reminded to pay attention.

3. The wool yarn should be avoided from being exposed to the sun to keep the original color unchanged.

4. The wool yarn should be disassembled and washed manually. Neutral wool detergent should be used instead of alkaline soap. The detergent should be kept below 40℃ and gently squeezed to avoid shrinkage and deformation of the wool.

5. The wool yarn storage requires keeping it dry, cool and clean, and avoid storage in high temperature and high humidity environments.

Question 2: How to wash cashmere wool sweaters?

The whole process of washing: First: Add water according to the detergent instructions (silk and wool detergent, shampoo are all OK. Do not use alkaline ones, such as soap and washing powder.) The water temperature should not exceed 30 degrees. Put the soaked sweater into the water and press gently to let the solution penetrate into the sweater evenly. Soak for 5-10 minutes. (Colored sweaters cannot be soaked. During the soaking process, their colors will infiltrate each other). Therefore, from washing to rinsing, to drying, it should be completed in one go. Because as long as it is a natural fiber, it will definitely fade. It's just that good products fade less.

Second: Do not rub hard when washing. Handle it gently, press, press, and squeeze from top to bottom. Squeeze the collar, cuffs and other easily dirty places several times.

Third: The same is true for rinsing. Fold the sweater and put it in the water. Try to turn it over as little as possible. Press it gently with your hands to squeeze out the dirty water. Generally, it takes three to four times.

Fourth: When dehydrating, wrap the sweater tightly with a large towel. Just shake it gently for 1 minute. This will generally prevent it from deforming again. If you cherish your sweater and have enough time and patience, you can also use a large dry towel to wrap the sweater after it drips water. Press lightly on the outside to let the towel absorb the moisture of the sweater.
