Egyptian cotton is a kind of long-staple cotton produced in Egypt. Its quality is better than that of Xinjiang cotton, especially its strength and fineness. Generally, Egyptian cotton must be added to the cotton cloth with a count of more than 150, otherwise the cloth is easy to break.
Of course, the price of Egyptian cotton is also much higher. Many of the cotton fabrics marked with Egyptian cotton on the market are not real Egyptian cotton. Take the four-piece set for example, the price of five percent Egyptian cotton is about 500 yuan, and the price of four percent Egyptian cotton sets is more than 2000 yuan.

High-count cotton yarn and combed cotton yarn High-count cotton yarn is defined from the thickness of cotton fabric yarn. Mercerized cotton feels softer than cotton without mercerizing, has better color and gloss, and has increased drape, wrinkle resistance, strength and color fastness. The fabric is crisp and not easy to pilling.
Mercerized cotton is generally made of high-count cotton or high-count long-staple cotton. Of course, some of them are made of ordinary low-count cotton. They feel good to the touch. When purchasing, pay attention to the thickness and textile density of the yarn. The yarn is too thick, the density is low, and the lines are bent and crooked are low-end fabrics.
Ice silk cotton yarn
Ice silk cotton yarn generally refers to mercerized cotton. It is a kind of plant regenerated cellulose fiber, also called viscose fiber, which is made by dissolving the cotton linter into solution with chemicals and then spinning. It belongs to the same category as Tencel, Modal and acetate fabrics, but its quality is inferior to Tencel and Modal. It is a relatively poor kind of man-made regenerated fiber.
Ice silk cotton has the same moisture absorption and permeability as cotton, but its strength is relatively low, it is easy to harden and brittle after washing, and it is not as good for human health as natural cotton.
