How to determine the cotton blending ratio for different quality yarns?

Cotton blending is the most early work of spinning process. It is based on the actual requirements of spinning, reasonable selection and use of a variety of raw cotton, giving full play to the characteristics of different raw cotton, so as to improve product quality, stabilize production and reduce costs. So, how can cotton blending be reasonable and scientific?

The principle of cotton blending is quality first, comprehensive arrangement, overall consideration, ensuring the key points, looking ahead and looking back, fine water and long flow, understanding both ends, and reasonable allocation. Then, according to the spinning quality requirements, reasonable arrangement of cotton blending proportion can achieve the purpose of reducing the cost of cotton and stabilizing the yarn quality. The following principles should be comprehensively considered:

1. Yarn evenness level
When evaluating the evenness, the influence of fiber length and fineness on the evenness level, as well as the influence of factors such as fiber evenness, maturity, moisture content, and lint content are mainly considered. In China, the moisture content of cotton is 10%, and the high limit is 12%; The impurity content is 2.5% for sawtooth cotton and 3.0% for roller cotton.
2. Yarn strength level
When evaluating the strength, the influence of fiber number, fiber length and fiber strength in the yarn section is considered.
3. Yarn raw material cost
The cost of yarn raw materials is calculated according to the weighted mixing ratio of various raw materials in each scheme as the cost evaluation index of cotton blending scheme.
4. Yarn value
This is a comprehensive evaluation index, which considers both cost and efficiency.
5. Inventory
Give a clear answer to the inventory of various raw materials in each cotton blending scheme: sufficient raw materials or insufficient raw materials. Based on this, determine whether the scheme can be adopted.

6. Examples of specific cotton blending schemes
(1) OE10S
+65% offal (fine blanking, cutting, yards, back to flower).
(2) OE16S (sliver and three knots are about 25% at the Ulster level, and the strength is 380N): 50% raw cotton (Grade III cotton)
+50% of the leftovers (fine cutting, chopping, yardage count, back flower).
(3) Ring spinning C21 (braze and three knots are about 25% at the Ulster level, and the strength is 436N): 100% raw cotton (Grade III
Cotton).
(4) Ring spinning C21 (evenness, three-knot Ulster level about 75%, strength 293N): 100% raw cotton (Grade IV cotton).
