There are many methods to analyze the quality of yarn. Today, we will teach you a hand and visual analysis method:
The method of hand feeling and visual inspection of full yarn is to touch with hands, observe with eyes, and judge the type of fiber by experience.
This method is simple and does not require any instrument, but requires the discriminator to have rich experience. When identifying clothing fabrics, you can not only touch and observe the fabric, but also remove the yarn from the edge of the fabric for identification.
(1) . Yarn feel and strength: cotton yarn and hemp yarn have a hard feel, while wool yarn has a soft feel. Silk, viscose fiber and nylon yarn have moderate hand feel. When breaking by hand, the strength of silk, hemp, cotton and synthetic fiber is better; Wool, viscose fiber and acetate fiber are worse.
(2) . Yarn elongation: when stretching the fiber, the elongation of cotton and hemp is small; The elongation of wool and acetate fiber is longer; Silk, viscose fiber and most synthetic fibers have moderate elongation.
(3) Yarn length and tidiness: natural fiber length, poor tidiness, chemical fiber length, good tidiness. Cotton fiber is thin, soft and short in length. Wool is long and curly, soft and elastic. Silk is long and thin, and has special luster. The hemp fiber vertebra contains colloid and is hard.
(4) . Yarn weight: cotton, hemp and viscose fibers are heavier than silk; Nylon, acrylic fiber and polypropylene fiber are lighter than silk; The weight of wool, polyester, vinylon and acetate fibers is similar to that of silk.
