The Wool Yarn Production Process

1. Shearing
In spring and autumn, experienced shearers use professional tools to shear wool
2. Grading
The sheared wool is graded according to quality. The quality of wool depends on factors such as the breed, age and growth environment of the sheep. After grading, high-quality wool will be used to make high-grade wool yarn.
3. Cleaning
The wool after shearing contains impurities and grease and needs to be cleaned. After high-temperature hot water, scouring agent, softener, and rinse with clean water, it is dried, packaged, and then passed through a carding machine and combing machine to remove impurities.
4. Drying
The cleaned wool needs to be dried, usually by natural air drying or mechanical drying. Make sure it is dried before the next step of processing.

5. Carding and slivering
Cardling is to sort the wool through a carding machine and a combing machine to remove residual impurities and short fibers. Finally, the wool strips are packaged into balls.
6. Spinning
The wool strips are stretched (lengthened and thinned) and twisted (twisted). Through this process, the threads become thinner and thinner from the beginning, and become stronger and stronger through twisting. Finally, the spun threads are combined into real wool threads through doubling.
7. Dyeing
Dyeing is to color the wool yarn into various colors to meet the needs of different customers. (Dyeing can be done after washing the wool material or before spinning as needed)
8. Weaving
Finally, the dyed wool yarn will be sent to the weaving factory for weaving. Weaving is to weave the wool yarn into fabrics of different specifications and styles.
