More difference between acrylic and polyester

The difference between acrylic and polyester:

Polyester:

When it comes into contact with the flame, it first causes curling and melting, and then burns, and the molten material drips down while burning, and there is a bright yellow flame and a blue color. When burning, there is black smoke at the top of the flame, and it stops burning when it leaves the flame. After the fire is stopped, it has a slightly aromatic smell, and the ashes are hard pieces of black glass that can be crushed with fingers.

Acrylic:

When in contact with the flame, it first melts and then burns slowly, with a yellow flame and flashes. After leaving the fire, it can continue to burn, but the speed is slow. When burning, it emits a bitter and sour smell, which is somewhat like coal tar. The ashes are irregular black lumps that are not easily crushed.

1. Acrylic fabric has poor hygroscopicity, is easy to stain, and feels stuffy when wearing, but its dimensional stability is better.

2. Acrylic fabrics have good heat resistance, ranking second in synthetic fibers, and are resistant to acids, oxidants and organic solvents, and are relatively sensitive to the effect of alkalis.
