Sport Weight Acrylic Yarn

1.Yarns are classified differently in the UK, Europe, Australia and the rest of the world. They often use layers or numbers to describe the weight of the yarn. Sports weight yarn is equivalent to 5 plies.

Movement weight is a fine weight yarn, in this system weight #2.

2.Sport weights are considered "spinning or baby weight yarns". Great for comfy socks, sweaters, draped and warm shawls and scarves, it also makes great sock yarn, knits or crochets a nice sweater and provides definition for textured stitchesport. Sport weight yarn is recommended for projects with knit gauges of 6-6.75 stitches per inch and crochet gauges of 4-5 single crochets per inch.
