The difference between merino wool and superwash merino wool
 

Superwash merino wool, is also made from Merino sheep, but it has undergone a special treatment that makes it machine washable and less likely to shrink. Superwash merino wool undergoes a process called chlorination, which removes the scales that cover the fiber, making it smoother and less prone to felting.
