Cake Yarn Gradient starts with a shade card on the winding desk, not a catalogue promise. The operator checks the cake edge, winding tension and color order while the yarn is pulled from the outside layer. A retained piece from the first cakes stays beside the batch sheet until packing is finished.

On the afternoon shift, we stop at the D65 lightbox and compare the yarn again when a shade looks close but not quite right.

Our cotton, acrylic and cotton acrylic blend options are made for wholesale programs. We note the yarn count, cake weight, gradient length and packing details on one order sheet so the dyeing, winding and packing teams are looking at the same information.

On the shop floor, pneumatic splicing joins the yarn without a hard knot. The splicer setting is checked before the run, then the winding operator feels the join as each cake passes inspection. We also use a D65 lightbox to compare the approved shade card with production yarn.

For outgoing lots, the colorfastness target is grade 4 when the agreed test method applies. A 200g cake is about 800 meters for the selected count and blend, but the final length is confirmed from the actual order specification. We check net weight, cake firmness, splice points and shade sequence before cartons are closed.

The yarn is used for shawls, scarves, sweaters, blankets, throws, cardigans, baby items, crochet bags, dolls and hats. Smaller cakes suit accessories and sample work. A larger cake keeps a longer panel moving with fewer color changes, which is useful for a blanket or wide shawl

For a private label order, please send the fiber ratio, yarn count, ply, cake weight, expected gradient length, Pantone reference, label artwork and packing method. We make a shade trial, mark the approved sample and pass the production sheet to winding. Custom shade sampling normally takes 3 to 5 working days after the color information is complete.

If the buyer changes the label or carton count after approval, we write the change on the packing sheet rather than relying on a message in the group chat. This keeps the sample room and packing table aligned.
